From an early age, I understood that the greatest barriers often come from within. As a daughter of immigrants, I was encouraged to dream within limits, but my inner voice urged me to break free from those constraints. Resilience and determination have been the driving forces behind my journey.
For nearly two decades, I worked at NATO, the world’s largest crisis management and security organization. There, I learned firsthand the importance of resilience, preparedness, and emotional intelligence in high-stakes environments. Collaborating with people from over 40 countries, I honed my skills in stakeholder engagement and developed a deep understanding of the human elements essential for effective leadership.
Founding Thrive with EQ allowed me to bring these insights into the world of cybersecurity, where I’m dedicated to reshaping how organizations approach digital threats. Our work goes beyond technical solutions; we focus on the human side of cybersecurity, blending emotional intelligence with resilience strategies. This holistic approach empowers leaders to create emotionally fortified cultures that are prepared to face the challenges of the digital age.
A personal highlight was being featured in “Hacking Gender Barriers: Europe’s Top Cyber Women” by the Women4Cyber foundation, recognizing my influence in cybersecurity despite not fitting the traditional mold. My love for cultures and languages has also shaped my journey—I am fluent in Dutch, English, French, and spoken Arabic, with a good understanding of Italian and German.
My strengths—creativity, kindness, bravery, social intelligence, perspective, humor, and curiosity—are at the heart of my mission.
